Parkinson’s Disease Screening Application : Early Detection for Effective Prevention

The Chulalongkorn Center of Excellence for Parkinson’s Disease and Related Disorders, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, has developed an innovative mobile application called Check PD, designed for the early screening of Parkinson’s disease. The development of this application has been supported by the Royal Commemorative Project of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. This initiative is based on the core idea that “the earlier you know, the sooner you can prevent.”

The application allows users to self-assess for early signs of Parkinson’s. If the results indicate possible abnormalities, it is strongly recommended to consult a physician for further diagnosis and confirmation. The next phase of Check PD will include features for: Symptom tracking over time and Disease prevention tools. Therefore, this innovation is a significant step toward accessible early detection, public awareness, and preventive care for Parkinson’s disease in Thailand.
